VibeSlide is a radically new service and as such, there are many questions you might have about what it is, how to use it, and how it will benefit you. The goal of this FAQ is to bring clear, concise answers to your questions. It will be continually updated as new questions come up.

Question: Why is everything rated at 50% to start? Answer: Because we're fair *AND* balanced. VibeSlides that haven't been rated are innocently rated at 50% until proven guilty.

Question: Why should I use it?
Answer: Why not? We believe your screensaver can become both fun and useful and we argue that it's probably not doing much for you right now. You don't have to stop using Facebook, MySpace, etc.. to use VibeSlide. Continue using them! VibeSlide is completely different in that it is a screensaver, sends photos & messages direct to your screensaver automatically, and makes rating what you see super easy and oh-so-much fun.

Question: What do I use it for?
Answer: That depends on which role you play.

As a sender, sending a photo or message (a VibeSlide) is ridulously easy (as simple as right clicking any photo on your comptuer and selecting 'Send via VibeSlide'). It's fast too... recipients will get your VibeSlide within 2 minutes of you sending it! Also, you get updated information about what people thought of your VibeSlide, updated every 30-60 minutes. Finally, know that your message lasts and becomes part of your recipient's screensaver, and their experience when using their computer. The message you send is no longer a one-time event for your recipient - they continue to see it as part of their screensaver.

For recipients, we've made cool photos and messages, easy and automatic. VibeSlides are sent direct to your screensaver. Relax, it's all automatic and handled for you. Speak your mind by rating the VibeSlides... that's as simple as pushing the up or down arrow key on the keyboard.

Question: Isn't this just another social network with friends/blah/blah...?
Answer: We'd like to think not. But you'll note a difference between our site and the 100-odd social network sites you've seen. We're not about how many friends you have and we're not great way of managing your friendships. But what we do really well is give you another way to communicate with your friends, one that we are pioneering. We believe we're the first company to allow you to send photos & messages direct to your friend's screensaver. Tell us where you want us to take this service... we'll listen!

Question: But don't I need to bring over all of my Facebook/MySpace/etc... friends?
Answer: Actually no. We have these cool things called channels which allow you to receive fresh new VibeSlides sent direct to your screensaver everyday, without a single friend/buddy/contact. No friends? No problem!

Question: What is the difference between a 'channel' and a 'fan club'?
Answer: Think about it this way... your fan club is like a personal channel, about you. Only you can send a VibeSlide to your fan club. When you do, it will be added to the screensavers of each person who is subscribed (a.ka. your fan)... within 2 minutes.
Channels on the other hand, are a group thing. Instead of only you being able to send, *anyone* can send to a channel. They're useful when you have an affiliated group of people... say the Knitting Club, for example. Any knitter in the channel can send a hot VibeSlide of them knitting, to the channel, and all other knitters will receive it (within 2 minutes). Beyond knitting its useful for student groups, student government, fraternities, sorrorities, or even the chess club.

Question: I don't like the name of my fan club... can I change it?
Answer: Of course! You can do this in the 'Manage Account' section of VibeSlide where you can change all kinds things to optimize your VibeSlide experience. Here's the direct link.

Question:Ok great... but how do I get MORE VibeSlides?
Answer: That's easy. Subscribe to some channels to get new VibeSlides sent to your screensaver each day, edit your screensaver preferences and tell us to expire things more quickly (to get you newer VibeSlides sooner), or invite some friends to join so you let them send you VibeSlides direct to your screensaver.
